Steelers vs Panthers

Steelers vs Panthers : Primetime games are something that every fanbase in the NFL clamors for. Generally, to play in front of a national television audience means that your team is one that is worth watching, and a legitimate contender for great things down the road. That’s exactly what the 6-2 Carolina Panthers are, and the primetime treatment is exactly what they and their fans are going to get.

For the first time this season, the Panthers will play in a nationally-televised game, as they travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. Though the Panthers began their season with a massive television audience when they played the Dallas Cowboys in Week One, Thursday night’s game will be the first time that the entire nation gets to see the Panthers in action.

Here is a complete recap of broadcast information for the Carolina Panthers’ Week 10 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which kicks off at 8:20 PM EST.

NFL 2018 Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football 2018 : America’s Team will be in action on “Monday Night Football” as the Dallas Cowboys host the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET and the Cowboys are five-point favorites in the latest Cowboys vs. Titans odds after the line moved as high as 6.5. Meanwhile, the total has been bet down from 42 to 40.5 as Vegas is expecting a defensive struggle. Both teams are 3-4 and coming off their bye week. The Titans lost in London to the Chargers last time out after a two-point conversion in the final seconds failed, while Dallas dropped a 20-17 decision to division rival Washington. Before you make any Cowboys vs. Titans picks and predictions, make sure to check out what the advanced computer model at SportsLine has to say.

The model simulates every game 10,000 times to produce against-the-spread, over-under and money-line picks. In a straight-up, pick’em format, the model went 176-80 last season and beat over 95 percent of CBS Office Pool players in 2016 and ’17, performing better than 98 percent of experts tracked by NFLPickWatch.com during that span. Additionally, it went 48-34 on A-rated picks against the spread last season, and $100 bettors who followed it the past two seasons are up nearly $4,000.

The model was a blistering 13-1 straight up last week. Additionally, it was a strong 6-0 on all top-rated picks in Week 8, including nailing the Redskins (-1) over the Giants and the Seahawks (+3) vs. the Lions. That perfect mark in Week 8 improved its overall run to 68-43 on all top-rated picks. Anybody who has been following these picks is way, way up.

Now, the model has simulated Cowboys vs. Titans 10,000 times. We will tell you that the model is leaning toward the over, but it has also locked in a bold point-spread pick that hits in well over 50 percent of simulations. You can only see that pick at SportsLine.

The model knows the Cowboys’ defense has hit its stride the past two games, allowing less than 255 yards and 14 points per contest. The Cowboys’ linebackers have been a big reason why.

Jaylon Smith made 10 tackles and forced a fumble as Dallas held the Jaguars to 204 yards of offense in a 40-7 win in Week 6. Then Sean Lee returned from injury last game and had a team-high five solo tackles. A healthy core of Smith, Lee and rookie first-round pick Leighton Vander Esch should cause problems for the Titans’ rushing attack. They’ve had a week to rest up and get healthy ahead of Monday’s home game.

However, don’t assume that means the Titans can’t cover on “Monday Night Football.”

Dean Pees also has the Titans’ defense in incredible shape, as the unit ranks No. 3 in the NFL in scoring defense and No. 11 in total defense. Logan Ryan, Malcolm Butler and Adoree’ Jackson have been difference-makers in the secondary and helped the Titans’ pass defense rank No. 9 in the NFL.

With Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott throwing for just 202 yards per game, moving the ball through the air figures to be a challenge. And while the newly signed Amari Cooper should help, Dallas won’t have the luxury of moving him around the formation because he’s going to face a strong cornerback no matter where he lines up.

Who wins Titans vs. Cowboys? And which side of the spread hits well over 50 percent of the time? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of the spread you need to jump on Monday, all from the computer model that has returned nearly $4,000 to $100 bettors over the past two seasons.

Titans vs Cowboys

Titans vs Cowboys : The Titans face the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night at AT&T Stadium. Here’s a look at six things to watch: Gloveless Mariota Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has finally ditched the glove he’d been wearing on his throwing hand since Week One. All indications are he’s as healthy as he’s been since the start of the season. Now, the Titans need him to settle in and get into a groove, while helping the 30th ranked offense take things to another level. Mariota has had a lot of success against NFC opponents. In 12 career games vs NFC teams, Mariota has 3,039 passing yards (253.3 per game) with 24 touchdowns and 7 interceptions for a 104.3 rating. Corey Davis and the WRs Mariota, of course, is going to need better play around him. So far this season the Titans receiving corps has been inconsistent, with drops being a problem all season. Corey Davis had a nine-catch, 161-yard game vs the Eagles, but he’s caught just eight passes for 83 yards in the three games since. The Titans need more consistent production from him. In the team’s last game, Tajae Sharpe had a career-high 101 receiving yards, so that’s a good sign. Davis, Sharpe and Taywan Taylor all need to play well for the Titans moving forward, starting tonight. Slow Down Zeke The Cowboys have relied on running back Ezekiel Elliott all season, and that won’t change on Monday night. Elliott has 619 yards on the season, and he’s averaging 132.8 scrimmage yards per game and has 14 TDs in 16 career home games. Since entering the NFL he leads the NFL with 15 games of 100-plus rushing yards. The Titans are ranked 18th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed on defense, allowing 112.3 per game. If the Titans don’t rise up and slow down Elliott, it could be a long night. Stop Amari Cooper and the Deep Ball One wild card the Titans face on Monday night is the presence of Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper. Monday night’s game will be the first for Cooper in a Cowboys uniform after he was acquired in a trade with the Raiders. Just how much the Cowboys target him remains to be seen. Cooper joined the Cowboys during the bye, so the extra time should have him relatively comfortable. One thing is certain: the Titans need to keep from getting victimized by the deep ball, which happened twice vs. the Chargers. Titans Run Game Titans running back Dion Lewis had a season-high 155 scrimmage yards against the Chargers, with 91 of those yards coming on the ground. It was a positive sign for a team that’s struggled to get the running game going in too many games this season. What the Titans really need to see is more production from running back Derrick Henry, who vowed leading up to the game to be more physical in the second half of the season. The Titans need to get the running game going vs Dallas, but it won’t be easy – the Cowboys are allowing just 96.3 rushing yards per game.

Bills vs Patriots

Bills vs Patriots : NFL 2018 Football Game need to make them immobile near the red-zone Week 8 is the beginning of a difficult stretch of games for Buffalo is coming in off a Week 7 loss vs. the Colts, and heads into the … Tom Brady and the Patriots take on the Bills on Monday Night Football. The surging New England Patriots face the struggling Buffalo Bills in a Monday Night Football matchup with a big point spread to consider.

The Bills have had a shaky start to their season, and a lot of it has to do with poor quarterback play. They have tossed three quarterbacks in the mix through seven games now — and those quarterbacks combined for three touchdowns and 12 interceptions thrown. The team averages an abysmal 11.6 points per game, which is last in the league.

On the other hand, the Patriots are fourth in points scored per game with 30.6, and they have scored 38 or more points in the last four games. The Bills were a playoff team last season with Tyrod Taylor in control, but they are having a tough time finding an identity right now offensively. This should be a field day for New England — but you never know, crazier things have happened. The Lions did beat the Patriots bad on Sunday night. On the other hand, the Patriots are fourth in points scored per game with 30.6, and they have scored 38 or more points in the last four games. This should be a field day for New England — but you never know, crazier things have happened. The Lions did beat the Patriots bad on Sunday night.

The Bills (2-5) make their triumphant return to Monday Night Football as the home team for the first time in nearly a decade, when the Bills welcome AFC East foe the New England Patriots (5-2) to New Era Field. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. Eastern, and the eyes of the football world will be on Orchard Park, with ESPN televising the game.

This is Buffalo’s first home appearance on Monday Night Football since the 2008 season, when Buffalo fell to the Cleveland Browns 29-27 on Nov. 17. This is Buffalo’s first Monday Night Football game since a 31-25 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 7, 2016. The Bills last faced the Patriots on a Monday night during the 2015 season, suffering a 20-13 loss on Nov. 23, 2015.

These two teams are heading in opposite directions, with the Bills struggling to score points (ranked last in the league in scoring offense, 11.6 points per game), while the Patriots are averaging 39.3 points per game during a four-game winning streak and find themselves in a familiar place: alone in first place in the AFC East.

All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski is likely to suit up against the Bills after missing last week’s game with back spasms. Gronk has only one score this season, but is netting an impressive 15.6 yards per grab. Wide receiver Josh Gordon notched his first 100-yard game as a Patriot last Sunday, which included a nifty 55-yard reception. But just because the Patriots have been hot doesn’t mean they’ll cover a two-touchdown spread in a divisional road game.A strong ground game capable of keeping the high-flying New England offense off the field and taking pressure off Bills quarterback Derek Anderson will be key to a Buffalo cover. Buffalo’s top two running backs are banged up, but both are expected to play.LeSean McCoy leads the squad with 244 rushing yards, but has yet to hit pay dirt. He has cleared the concussion protocol after practicing all week. Backup Chris Ivory topped 100 yards from scrimmage last week in the blowout loss to the Colts.

During his NFL career, QB Tom Brady has terrorized the Bills, and brings a 28-3 record against Buffalo into the MNF game. Brady is once again playing at an MVP level for the Patriots. The key to a Bills upset is to get pressure on Brady, and for Bills fans, hopefully the defense will return to its Week 6 form (sacking Deshaun Watson seven times) compared to Week 7, when it recorded zero sacks and allowed Andrew Luck to toss four touchdown passes.

This will be the 117th meeting all-time between former American Football League rivals. New England owns a 72-43-1 record all-time, including a 26-8 win as the Boston Patriots during the 1963 AFL playoffs, the only postseason meeting between these two teams.

Last year, the Bills fell to the Patriots 23-3 at New Era Field, and lost a 37-16 decision to the Patriots in Foxboro.

The game has been sold out for months. As if Bills fans needed any additional incentive to get pumped up for the Monday night appearance, Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas will have his No. 34 retired at halftime.

Tour of Hainan 2018

Tour of Hainan 2018 : Italy’s Jakub Mareczko opened his account in style in the opening stage of the 13th edition of the Tour of Hainan. The Wilier Triestina rider outsprinted Switzerland’s Dylan Page and his compatriot Manuel Belletti (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) in Danzhou.

Mareczko won five stages last year and the first of his 39 Asian victories out of 53 in total up to date on the paradisiacal Chinese island in 2015.

“I’m happy to win stage 1 this time”, said Mareczko who previously needed at least a day to find the right timing. “My teammates positioned me very well for this sprint. I don’t know what happened behind me. I just know some riders went down. We were at the front of the peloton for the last 10 kilometres.”

After a very competitive start, Liu Jianpeng and Zhang Zheng (Hengxiang), Niu Yikui (Mitchelton-BikeExchange), Ivar Slik (Monkey Town), Li Zisen (Qinghai Tianyoude) and Joab Schneiter (Switzerland) took off after 15 kilometres. They got a maximum advantage of 1:20.

In a highly contested intermediate sprint at half way, Zhang bettered Niu to move into the lead of the best Asian rider competition at the end of the day. After 50km of racing, Slik and Schneiter forged on, later reinforced by Mongolia’s Tegshbayar Batsaikhan of RTS, who bridged the gap by himself with 20km to go.

Eventually, it all came back together when Wilier Triestina put the hammer down 10 kilometres before the finish.

“The last seven kilometres were contested on a very high tempo,” said runner-up Page. “There was some headwind in the final straight line. We thought we’d have to launch the sprint the latest possible. We have a nice Swiss national team this year with strong rouleurs and good climbers, so I get a better support than last year to lead me out. That’s why I was more confident for today’s stage.

“Fabian Lienhard stayed with me to protect me. I managed to follow the right wheel, which was Mareczko’s. 100 metres before the line, I tried to pass him. I felt strong but I cracked at 50 metres to go. It’s a good way to start the Tour of Hainan. It’s a morale booster for more sprinting stages to come.”

“It didn’t go as we planned at the beginning,” third placed Belletti echoed. “It’s been chaotic in the last 5km so it was very difficult to keep the wheels of my team-mates. I found them again 800 metres before the end but that meant doing a sprint before the sprint, and unfortunately, I was missing some energy for the final part. We want to do better in the coming sprint finishes.”

New race leader Mareczko informed that he won’t necessarily be the top end sprinter for Wilier Triestina in the next few days as the Italian team also features Luca Pacioni. This is Mareczko’s last race for the team he joined three years. Aged 24, he’ll step up to the WorldTour with CCC next year.

“I’ve enjoyed a lot of successes in Asia so far,” Mareczko said. “But this Tour of Hainan might not be the end of my story over here. There’s also a WorldTour race in China [the Tour of Guangxi] and I’d be happy to come back.”

Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football 2018 : Week Seven in the NFL wraps up with a Monday Night Football match-up between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills, exclusively live on Sky Sports Action and Main Event from 12am. Here’s what you can expect.

Form guide

The Patriots (5-2) enter as one of the NFL’s hottest teams and coming off a four-game win streak. After early-season woes, they’ve dominated offensively in those wins, averaging over 39 points.

Julian Edelman’s return from suspension has only helped the cause – as has the development of newly-acquired wideout Josh Gordon – for a team that looks back to their Super Bowl best. As long as Tom Brady continues to play at his MVP level, they are contenders.

In Buffalo, it has not been so pretty for the Bills (2-5).

It is all about the quarterbacks for Sean McDermott’s side, as Week One starter Nathan Peterman lasted 18 passes before he was yanked, rookie Josh Allen has been extremely inconsistent (as expected) and they decided to pick up Derek Anderson rather than go back to Peterman after Allen suffered an elbow injury.

The defense has shown signs of life, but it has not been good enough to make up for the lack of attack.

Stat Attack

With four touchdown passes on Monday night, Brady (504) will tie Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre (508) for the second-most touchdown passes in NFL history.

Key battle

Patriots intermediate targets vs Bills linebackers: James White, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski. With these three on the field at the same time, the Patriots are almost impossible to stop offensively.

White, in particular, is having a fantastic season, averaging career highs in rushing yards per game (27.0), receiving yards per game (54.3), and has more total touchdowns (seven) than in any previous season.

Buffalo’s linebackers have drawn praise this season, making big plays to keep them in the closer games they have been in, but Matt Milano, Lorenzo Alexander, and rookie Tremaine Edmunds will have their hands full covering Brady’s mid-range weapons.

Colts vs Raiders

Colts vs Raiders: Two teams with a combined 10 losses already will face off at the Coliseum sans infield dirt Sunday, and maybe they surprise us with some decent football.

The Raiders (1-5) are playing for pride at this point, while the Colts (2-5) still have a shot in a jumbled AFC South.

Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders were flying high the last time they faced the Indianapolis Colts.

Carr threw three touchdown passes to lead Oakland to its 12th win of the season on Christmas Eve in 2016, but got knocked out late in that game with a broken ankle. That has sent the Raiders into a downward spiral they still haven’t escaped.

The Raiders (1-5) are reeling as they head into Sunday’s game against the Colts (2-5), having traded away No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper to Dallas earlier in the week after previously dealing away star pass rusher Khalil Mack before the season.

The trio of Carr, Cooper and Mack were the foundation pieces in Oakland, but now only Carr remains and the team is once again rebuilding.

“For me, being in my fifth year, it’s hard if I’m being honest,” Carr said. “Just going out there, I feel like we’ve had to do this a couple of times in my early five years. That part is hard. At the same time, it doesn’t change my mindset.”

Martin is no Beast Mode, but the Raiders seem more than confident he can sufficiently fill Lynch’s spot in the Raiders’ backfield after Lynch hit injured reserve with a groin injury.

In Martin’s 27 rushes this season, he’s gained only 99 yards (3.7 yards per carry). Martin averaged 2.9 yards per carry each of his two seasons with the Buccaneers before signing with Oakland, and he hoped a change of scenery would elevate those numbers. It has only slightly, and the Raiders are still waiting for Martin to give them something worthy of a starting running back ahead of his first start with them on Sunday.

The final game of Gruden’s first stint as Raiders coach ended with a kick by Adam Vinatieri. On a snowy night in New England on Jan. 19, 2002, Vinatieri kicked a 23-yard field goal in overtime to lead the Patriots to a 16-13 victory.

The game was most notable for the “Tuck Rule,” which turned a potential game-sealing strip sack in regulation for Oakland into an incomplete pass, setting the stage for Vinatieri to tie the game with an improbable 45-yard field goal in the snow. Vinatieri is still kicking and needs five points to break Morten Andersen’s NFL career scoring record (2,544 points). But Vinatieri’s status is in doubt this week because of an injured groin.

49ers vs Cardinals

49ers vs Cardinals : San Francisco will square off against Arizona at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

Things haven’t been easy for San Francisco, and their game last Sunday only extended their streak of losses to five. They proved to be too much for the Rams, winning handily 10-39. San Francisco’s defeat came about despite a quality game from George Kittle, who caught 5passes for 98 yards and 1 touchdown.

Meanwhile, there’s no need to mince words: Arizona lost to Denver, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 10-45. Arizona were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 3-35.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Both of these teams made a habit out of coughing up the ball last game, so whoever can hold on the rock might walk away a winner.

The game is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox in select areas (coverage map here). If the game is on in your market and you don’t have cable or can’t get to a TV, you can still watch a live stream of the game (or DVR it) on your computer, phone or streaming device by signing up for one of the following cable-free, live-TV streaming services:

Broncos vs Rams

Broncos vs Rams Live: The Broncos will have to be operating on all cylinders on Sunday as they look to take down the Rams, one of the two undefeated teams in the NFL. Demaryius Thomas is coming off his best game of the season: a five-catch, 105-yard, one-touchdown game against the Jets.

Chargers vs Browns

The Broncos are coming off a 34-16 loss to the New York Jets as Denver could not overcome a three-touchdown performance from Jets quarterback Sam Darnold and Isaiah Crowell’s single-game franchise record 219 rushing yards. Despite leading 7-0 after the first quarter, a commanding 21-point second quarter by the Jets helped New York take a sizeable advantage they never relinquished.

The Broncos did receive a boost from Case Keenum throwing for a career-high 377 yards on 35 of 51 pass attempt with two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to win on Sunday afternoon. Denver will need to tighten their defense against the Rams as the 512 yards they allowed to the Jets was the 14th most they’ve allowed in a single game in team history.

For the Rams, they’re entering Week 6 with their quarterback, Jared Goff, on an active streak of four 300-plus yard passing games in a row. However, Sunday’s 33-31 win over the Seahawks was not his best effort as he threw two interceptions in addition to his 321 passing yards and one touchdown.

Not only do the Rams wield the all-time edge on the Broncos with an 8-5 record, but they have also won the past three meetings.
Rams-Broncos head-to-head statistics

As mentioned, Jared Goff has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league this year. Goff leads the NFL with 1,727 passing yards. The Broncos figure to have a tough matchup against Goff as his past four games against AFC teams, he is 4-0 with 1,243 pass yards, 12 touchdowns and just one interception.
Broncos quarterback Case Keenum has only one career game against the Rams, which came last November when he was part of the Minnesota Vikings. Keenum passed for 280 yards with one touchdown and 20 rush yards.
Rams running back Todd Gurley will look to replicate his success from last week when he posted 113 scrimmage yards with three rushing touchdowns. Since 2015, he has nine games with two-or-more rushing touchdowns, the most in the NFL.

Broncos’ rookie running back Royce Freeman is aiming for his third consecutive home game with a rushing touchdown. He is one of four NFL rookies (Saquon Barkley, Nyheim Hines and Calvin Ridley) to post 250-plus scrimmage yards and three touchdowns this season.
Rams-Broncos odds

The Rams are 5.5 point favorites on the road. The over-under is set at 52.5.

Missouri vs Alabama

Missouri vs Alabama : The Crimson Tide has been on a tear all year and there is no sign of them slowing down. They have been especially dominant offensively this year, leading the nation with more than 56 points per game behind the strength of quarterback and Heisman front-runner, Tua Tagovailoa. They’ll look to continue their explosive ways against a Missouri team that ranks 12th in the SEC, allowing 28.8 points per game.

Missouri is 3-2 on the season, and they haven’t been a consistent bunch in their first five games. Outside of the Wyoming and UT Martin, their defense hasn’t looked good. They have given up 39 points throughout their last three games against Power 5 opponents. The Tigers defense has some players of their own, defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr. is not talked about enough but look for him to make plays from the interior and edge.

The offense looks impressive led by potential NFL first-round pick Drew Lock who has thrown for 1,485 yards on the season so far, averaging 39 points per game, ranked 25th in the nation.

The Tide is looking to continue its perfection behind their strong lefty quarterback and his group of young receivers led by Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III. Tagovailoa has the most impressive stat line in college football. Through five games he has amassed for 1,495 yards with 18 touchdowns with zero interceptions and hasn’t even played in the fourth quarter in any of his games this year.

Missouri’s defense is going to have a hard time trying to contain the depth of the playmakers starting with the running back duo of Damien Harris and Najee Harris. Alabama has athletes on the defensive side as well starting with Mack Wilson as the signal-caller for the defense and defensive ends Raekwon Davis and Isaiah Buggs.

Lock will have to find holes in the Alabama secondary that will be without Trevon Diggs and Jalyn Armour-Davis are out with injuries so Patrick Surtain Jr. and the depth in the secondary will be tested by a quarterback with NFL skills.
